Disappointment...

I was out at Rockwell yesterday. And look what I got home:

Haha! I wouldn't miss the chance to buy the album now! Unfortunately, they don't have her 1st album anymore . However, I left my number instead and got the shop's number as well. They'll be calling me when they get one. The picture ain't exactly alike with mine. It's sort of different as it's a Philippine Edition C.D. And when I got home I figured why it was a little cheaper...It was a big disappointment to learn the stupid Philippine Edition only includes two pages of the darn manual I wanted so much. Why do you think I'd be buying an album when I can just download mp3s from LimeWire? It's because of the darn manual I really want! I want to read her thank you's etc.

*sigh*

Anyway.... I'd be writing a review about this album pretty soon. So stay tune for that.
Currently I've been listening to the following artists:

  • Stacie Orrico
  • Gavin Degraw
  • Michelle Branch/The Wreckers
  • Teddy Geiger
  • Hinder
  • John Mayer
*Check out the Review Section on my multiply site for any updates... maybe tomorrow... the day after tomorrow or the day after the day after tomorrow for Music/Artist Reviews soon to come*

Download My Buttercup :p

To download my rendition of the song please redirect here. It's been a couple of days since I made the mp3. I just forgot to inform you guys about it. Please comment up on this post for good and bad reactions about the song. It may be a little slow but I hope you guys take the time to download and hear it. I'll be posting some of our band's renditions this coming year when we get the chance to record up. It's such a shame the recording software I got can't be installed properly (darn cd... no crack with it). Anyway, when I get the thing exchanged and working I'll be informing. If not, we'll be recording in a real studio instead.

New Haircut

After the new layout comes my new haircut... Haha... Sorry ol' pal (you know who you are...) I guess the long hair plan's not coming any sooner. I guess I'm not really on with long hair. I had my haircut just this afternoon. I'm not sure if it looks good... I haven't really looked at my face since. Comment up on me ol' bud I'll be waiting for your violent reaction!

some miracle just happened

I was at the other room when I heard a ring. I came running to answer the telephone. I heard a somewhat familliar voice... But I couldn't seem to recognize that voice until she asked for me. This has got to be one of the days when I felt like a miracle just happened. Yah see, this particular person ... I never expected the day when I'll hear a ring coming from her. She never called me up... ever! And I can't believe she did. It was like.. just impossible... as I've always been the one to call her up even when she was the one who needed me. She would text me on my celfone and ask me to call her up and I'd obediently do! But today, she called up to ask me if I wanted to come along with the rest of the people we usually hang out with. Well, I really wanted to go... It's been always fun everytime we have this "gimiks". But i had a feeling I wouldnt be allowed to go anyway. I tried asking... but I just asked my mom about if she's going anywhere today. Obviously... it's just not my day as my brother's out on vacation and my mom's just busy.
Well, I just hope I'd be able to buy something for the rest of the people on my list that I haven't bought a gift yet before Christmas comes.

JoJo turns 16

Yes people, this young lass here is turning 16! Yup! Joanna Levesque (better known as JoJo) is celebrating her birthday today, December 20!

I'm a big fan of hers so that's why I'm featuring her today on my blog :) I'm not only a fan because she's popular, beautiful or whatsoever. I'm a fan because she has captivated me with her soulful voice and because she proved she has the talents and she's here to stay. She knows how to keep it real and she doesn't have to pretend or whatsover. She knows that people look up to her and she just stays the way she is.

Happy Birthday JoJo, keep up the good work, you'll make it far.

Here's How to Touch a Girl

my wishlist

Last edited: 12-20-06

Christmas is coming any moment now. And I guess I should have posted this earlier for all of you who wants to give me something. For all those generous people who's going to buy me something here's your guide (well it's more like a wishlist 'coz I bet I won't get everything listed below anyway):

Note: those in bold means that they have been fulfilled :) but of course you're still free to buy me another one. But I'd really appreciate getting all the other things as well :D

Neck Tie - ever since I was a baby I wanted a necktie 'coz I felt it looked cool. I already have one though that I bought just this summer, but I want another one so I don't get bored with the same old one

Drums Sticks - I've been officially playing for 6 months now and I still don't have a pair of 'em! Vic Firth please
Drum Kit - I know it costs a lot... but I don't wanna lose hope that someone would give me one...

Electric Guitar - I know this costs a lot too... but it's very essential for composers like me... I can't compose rock songs with an acoustic guitar... so pleasee...

Amplifier - oh yeah, almost forgot this thing, what's the use of having an electric guitar when you can't hear anything at all?

Digicam - another pricy thing, but look on the bright side? If you get me one then I'd be able to put more pictures in this blog instead of another low quality picture taken by my Nokia 9500.

Ipod - I always wanted one... even just the shuffle thingy. As it is prominent, I love music and it's music on the go

CDs - well, here's something I bet all of you can afford! Here's a list of 'em:
Simple Plan 1st Album
Jesse McCartney 1st Album
Hale 1st and 2nd
Click Five
Jojo (1st and 2nd album please I really want this... her voice... it's just wonderful)
Fall Out Boy
Younha (I don't know if there's one in the Philippines)
Sponge Cola
Michelle Branch ( I don't know if there's still stocks out there.. I really want this)
Calla Lily (wanna try this band out)
etc.

Some nice pair of outdoor shoes - getting bored with my Merrel Shoes.. and "someone" keeps telling me that they're boyish and all.

Normal-Sized colarshirts or whatever just no sleeveless - I don't really shop so I dont have lots of clothing that would satisfy this "someone" who keeps telling me that my shirt's a rag.. Hmmff
New pairs of shorts (or 3/4s) - well, i guess i'm short on shorts so it'd be nice if i get new ones :D

Hmm.. maybe some pair of new sunglasses - don't really have one and Jojo really looks cool on one :p here's a picture:

Hmm.. so what else? I can't seem to remember the other things yet.. Well I'll just edit this entry up when I get to remember what they are. Thanks~

Final Line Up

It's been a while since I last posted something and that's probably because a lot of events happened but I just didn't have pictures to show 'em. Well, here it is. Let me introduce my band to ya'll. From left to right, Mary Rose Minay on lead guitar, Vincent Uy on vocals/guitar, Walter Siy on keyboards (the picture shows he's playing guitar, but we had a last minute change and he's become the keyboard man), then next up is no other else but me on percussions, then right next to me is Aimee Hazel Tan on rhythm guitar and lastly, Cedrick Miranda on bass guitar.

Like the poster says, we performed last thursday and friday (due to technical error). We played Simple Plan's Welcome to My Life and our very own original composition Here For You.

sunday adventure

Last Sunday, I woke up early to come along with my mom and aunt to have my grandfather in front of this beautiful view. It may be a little hazy because my camera phone ain't that great anyway, but do believe me that this sure is a very pleasant view.

And because I'm still half asleep... I forgot to wear my other sock O.o. Anyway, it was one of the happy mornings. Though the plan of going around the bay in a ship got canceled because they only have a trip to Corregidor, it was still fun. I had baked spaghetti for breakfast and milk from starbucks.

And I believe that the best part was being with my Guakong!

ahh... christmas again!!

I can feel it coming... Christmas! It's probably my most awaited day every year aside from my birthday as I get lots of gifts and because I get off school during this time of year. But we never really have things like christmas trees during christmas that is why I envy whoever the family that lives in the house seen in the picture. They have prepared their Christmas decors early November and I can't help but feel kind of envious as we never had Christmas Trees. But I guess there's still some things to look forward to! Like the ang pao and chibugan

finally! a picture of my cake!

Sorry I wasn't able to include a picture of my cake with my last post. Well here it is

The cake was for a good friend of mine. Intended to express my sincere apology. I'm sorry if it's always been like this. I'm sorry that I can't help myself sometimes. I'm sorry if I disturbed you all the time and I'm sorry for not being able to tell you straight and personally instead of giving you a letter and a cake having the Sorry on all four sides.

I just hope things are going a little better for the both of us. You're one of the people I'll never forget.

smileys!!

Ever since I started having a blog, I've been having problems expressing emoticons when there's none at all around here! But this morning I accidentally clicked on an ad. And it happened to be smileycentral.com . I've tried it before ... well years ago... and it wasn't that cool before and the person you're sending smileys to wont get it unless she has it installed on his/her computer too. But i found it cute and all so I tried it out. And it works on browsers too! So I tried it on my previous post (Nov 11) first and it's pretty cool . Hehe see? Told you!

back in Manila... back to school

I got back in Manila last week (Nov. 4) and it took me one week to be able to update. Things have been very busy. Now that I got school again ( wish I could have more vacation) and now that I got more work for my band (yah know... making music ) and lots of project ongoing, I don't think I'd be able to update much at all. But then again here's my chance to tell you all about my week.

Nov 4
- I went straight to my friend's house without even dropping by at home to drop off my things and fix them first from the Airport. All I could think of was to have the cake I've spent hours doing and making delivered as soon as I got back in Manila. I'm not sure what happened that day. I'm not really that expressive and I don't really like talking much about very personal things... sorry guys :(

Nov 5
- There's the Wushu Exhibition held at Ninoy Aquino Stadium (still had doubts about going... but I was there...). The night ends with me eating brocolli... (I'm not really a vegetarian so... ugghhh) and being called a pipsqueek... grrr....

Nov 6
- Back to school? Aww... Nuu!!! I don't want to go back yet!!! Nuu!! Let me have just one more week! But I guess it's no use whining because I've been there :( But I did look forward on getting my test results. And right after school I went straight to Drug Store to buy something that could help me become a little taller and not be called a pipsqueek anymore!!! Also, I was able to have the first part of our new band single! Watch out for that :D

Nov 7
- Most of the projects and debts we had left was announced this day... (sigh) like the book report and newspaper articles on english. And another thing, I was forced to wear my aunt's rubber which is not really my style and it hurt my feet because I left my shoes at my other place.

Nov 8
-I've never missed drums this much! And I learned new cool stuffs at this day's lesson.

Nov 9
- No classes!! Yey! I helped out on my band's project on math which wasn't really my project because I'm not with them.

Nov 10
- We had scouting and I was supposed to wear Type M (white shirt and jeans) and I deliberately wore uniform instead because I couldn't bear wearing my aunt's shoes again

Nov 11
- I helped out a little again on my band's project and now I'm in front of my laptop writing this down :p

baking and driving

I woke up early to get to the bakery as early as I can be. When I got there, I was assisted by my buddy bakery-mates. They helped me set up the things I was going to need for the cake I've been planning for weeks just to have something back home for a friend I'm visiting as soon as I get back in Manila! The picture's not available yet as my mmc reader is sort of out in the world and I can't seem to find it. So after mixing things up and leaving it to the oven to be cook over around 30 minutes I left for a while to have breakfast (told yah it was too early). After eating what I could find in the fridge I planned on going to the bakery again. However I was distracted when I saw an opportunity to drive around! Well ok, at first I was just thinking of moving around a little. But my office-mate told me that it's okay to drive around the streets! No joke! Real cars and all! I tried going around once and felt like it wasn't enough practice yet. So I had another round before dropping myself off the bakery to check on my yummy cake and doing the icing :D The icing was a butter - powdered sugar mixed with royal true orange. According to my assistant it's one the hardest-to-make icing, because the icing is at risk of getting too watery which wouldnt hold up for icing. After finishing the cake I had another 2 or 3 rounds of going around the city again! I just hope my friend would like the cake I made.

missing my guitar

I was thinking of what to post today. There's all soul's day yesterday and how I miss my guitar. But I decided to have "missing my guitar" instead. All Soul's Day won't be that good of a hit anyway as I can't express such solemn emotion. I'm better off posting things that wouldn't be too dramatic.

I decided to left my guitar as to not risk having it broken by the end of the flight. So here I am... Guitarless *sob*
I'm really missing my guitar. I've already wasted days that should have been spent for composing more songs that might become a hit someday (kapal no? haha). Well who knows? Haha! The song I composed has already given me a good grade in my music exam (me and my partner played the song I composed and got 92). I was supposed to play drums but on our first try but we kind of sucked. We weren't really that ready so we only got 87 on our first try (he gave us 95 but we got deductions due to system errors with the electric guitar). But not to worry. I'll be seeing my baby in 2 days!

spending my sem-break

Just a week ago my mom called me up telling me that I'm coming to Iloilo to have me spend my sem-break. And now I'm here in front of the computer at my parent's office checking official receipts just as I did last summer when I was forced to come here promising that I'd get paid for doing things around. But I guess it was worth it looking at my pocket money when I left last summer. And now I was forced to come here again. Iloilo ain't much for me, but I had lots of memories here. From my buddy office-mates, the baking thing I was given a chance to try, learning how to drive to being slaved! Ok, so maybe I'm a little exaggerating. Anyways, I only have 10 days I think for my sem-break. I arrived last Saturday (Oct. 28, 2006) and will be staying for just a week (7 days). Classes starts November 6 so I already have my plane ticket back for November 4!

ako ang bida dito!

I've finally decided to have a place of my own where I can share my thoughts. And I mean my rants, whines and point of views. And because this is my place Ako ang Bida Dito! And this is what it's all about. It all started just this morning. I've tried having a blog before 2 or 3 years ago but found it hard to maintain because I wasn't able to update much. And then just a little while ago I felt like having one again because my journal notebook's been piling up with entries that I thought would be good to share with you guys! I'll try posting as frequent as I'm able. Maybe 2-3 times a week. So be sure to stay tune from time to time!
